Sod Sales and Yard Associate

United Land Services is seeking a Sod Sales & Yard Associate to support daily operations at our Seffner location. This position will work closely with the Office Manager and will be responsible for assisting customers with their sod purchases, coordinating sod orders, and safely loading sod onto customer vehicles.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with customers, has experience operating equipment, and can work effectively in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with sod purchases and provide friendly, professional customer service

• Field retail sod calls and answer customer questions regarding products, availability, and orders

• Schedule and coordinate retail sod orders

• Load sod safely and efficiently onto customer vehicles using equipment

• Operate equipment as needed to move and load sod

• Assist with daily yard and shop operations

• Use Aspire to enter and maintain customer and order information

• Assist with administrative tasks and other office duties as needed

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• Follow all company safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous equipment operating experience required

• Valid driver's license required

• Customer service experience preferred

• Ability to safely operate equipment and load materials

• Comfortable working outdoors and performing physical work throughout the day

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Basic computer skills and ability to learn and use Aspire

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable and dependable with strong attention to detail

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, and move sod and other materials

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and work outdoors for extended periods

• Ability to safely operate equipment used for loading and moving sod

• Ability to work in varying weather conditions

• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks as needed
