ETF/Derivatives Operations Manager

A leading asset manager is seeking an experienced Investment Operations Manager to oversee critical operational functions across ETFs, mutual funds, collateral management, and broader investment operations. This is an opportunity to move beyond day-to-day processing and become a strategic partner to senior leadership, driving operational excellence, scalability, risk management, and process innovation across a sophisticated investment product platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily oversight of investment operations functions across ETFs, mutual funds, and separately managed accounts.
• Manage collateral operations, including margin calls, collateral movements, substitutions, recalls, returns, and optimization activities.
• Coordinate ETF lifecycle events, including rolls, maturities, expirations, and rebalancing activities.
• Support the launch of new products and investment strategies, including operational design, testing, implementation, and ongoing support.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex operational issues, cash and position breaks, system exceptions, and reconciliation discrepancies.
• Lead strategic projects, system implementations, vendor initiatives, and process improvement efforts.

Requirements

• 8+ years of investment operations experience within asset management, investment management, or financial services.
• Strong understanding of ETF, mutual fund, and investment operations processes.
• Experience overseeing collateral management, reconciliations, operational controls, and fund operations workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to manage operational risk, improve controls, and implement scalable processes.
• Experience partnering with front-office, technology, compliance, finance, and external service providers.
