Job Description

Offshore Installation Engineer

Job Summary:
This critical role involves contributing to installation engineering activities, coordinating interfaces with fabrication, procurement, and installation teams, and ensuring the successful execution of complex offshore projects. Responsibilities:
  • Participate in project progress meetings, engineering coordination, interface meetings with clients, contractors, and subcontractors, as well as technical reviews related to procurement, fabrication, and operations.
  • Support HSE initiatives, risk assessments, and safety procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Issue, update, and follow up on procedures and documents related to the scope of work.
  • Develop installation engineering studies, prepare technical memos, and support contractual deviations.
  • Prepare input for installation activity presentations and oversee drafting activities related to the scope.
  • Initiate and manage documentation for equipment, installation aids, and materials, including specifications and associated documentation.
  • Review contracts, qualifications, clarifications, and specifications for all interfaces.
  • Design lift rigging and support technical aspects of installation activities.
  • Monitor project progress, deviations, and issues, providing regular reports to the lead.
  • Manage installation engineering development, including schedules, operation estimates, and technical descriptions.
  • Ensure effective communication and data transfer with installation, fabrication, and procurement teams, including review of technical documentation and drawings.
  • Oversee subcontractor documentation, technical evaluations, and interface data management.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in offshore installation engineering, particularly with flexible and umbilical products.
  • Strong knowledge of installation procedures, technical documentation, and project coordination.
  • Ability to develop and review technical memos, procedures, and drawings.
  • Experience designing lift rigging and managing installation aids and equipment documentation.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in managing interfaces with multiple stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and fabrication teams.
  • Relevant certifications and technical qualifications related to offshore installation engineering.
  • Willingness to travel and work in offshore environments as required.
  • A degree in engineering or a related technical field is preferred, along with extensive experience in offshore projects.
