Position: Senior Microsoft Power BI Developer / Data Analyst

Client Location: Chicago, IL

Work Location: Remote Work

Duration: 6+ Months

Key Activities & Responsibilities:

• Reduced backlog of intake requests.
• High-performance, user-friendly Power BI Dashboards.
• Able to engage directly with Senior Stakeholders and Deliver immediately
• Primary data sources identification. transformations, extraction logic, and integration requirements.
• Documentation of data models and business logic.
• Ad-hoc analysis and reports to support critical decision-making.
• Transferred knowledge to the Business Intelligence Team and Business stakeholders.

Required Skills:

• Must have 12 - 15 years of experience as a Power BI Developer, Data Analyst, or BI Consultant with a strong portfolio or BI Projects.
• At least 5 - 7 years of expertise in defining strategic metrics (OKRs/KPIs) and translating business requirements into technical BI solutions.
• 5+ years of strong proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, visualization best practices).
• At least 5 -7 years of experience in data warehouse architecture and implementation for analytics
• Must have expertise in full lifecycle implementation skill and also Customer approach/facing independently
• Should have experience in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Data source identification, ETL processes, and data modelling.
• Must have experience in Banking sector like Investment/Wealth Management/Treasury & Brokerage services.
• Deep knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, data modelling, DAX, and Power Query.
• Must have Advanced Proficiency in writing complex SQL Joins, Subqueries, and Views.
• 5+ years of strong proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, visualization best practices).
• Strong analytical mindset to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations.
• Ability to process large amounts of data, identify patterns, and draw evidence-based insights.
• Capacity to identify root causes of issues and develop innovative, effective solutions.
• Evaluating information and questioning assumptions to provide fresh, unbiased perspectives.
• Ability to work independently and deliver a defined scope of work.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, particularly with senior leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems.
• Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate preferred
