Pay Range: $30 - $34/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shift: Monday - Friday Second shift, 2:00 PM 11:00PM
  • Lead and supervise 15+ hourly production employees in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Manage daily axle assembly operations to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Monitor production output, staffing, downtime, quality, and operational constraints.
  • Review customer production line-ups and ensure the correct production priorities are executed.
  • Maintain quality standards and ensure products meet engineering and manufacturing specifications.
  • Identify production and quality issues and lead root-cause problem solving to resolve them.
  • Manage absenteeism, timekeeping, employee accountability, and workplace concerns in accordance with applicable work rules.
  • Address employee conflicts and performance issues professionally and consistently.
  • Coach, train, and develop employees while maintaining clear performance expectations.
  • Coordinate with Logistics, Maintenance, Engineering, Planning, and Quality to resolve production disruptions.
  • Conduct effective shift handoffs and communicate important production updates to management.
  • Prepare and maintain production, quality, and personnel documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve production methods, equipment performance, quality, and efficiency.
  • Maintain a strong focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and employee engagement.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

  • Key Skills; Production Supervisor , " Manufacturing", " Automotive" , " UAW" , " Quality" , Coaching , Scheduling , Supervisory .
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5 7+ years of relevant supervisory experience; candidates with only a high school diploma should have 8+ years of professional supervisory experience.
  • Proven automotive manufacturing experience.
  • Experience supervising 15 or more employees.
  • Experience working in a UAW/union manufacturing environment.
  • Strong production-floor leadership and independent decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution and employee-management experience.
  • Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with frontline employees, peers, and management.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing production priorities.
  • Bachelor s degree in production,; Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience with assembly operations.
  • Experience with production scheduling, quality control, and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, tools, and maintenance requirements.
  • Experience with structured problem-solving and continuous improvement.
