Applications Architect

Description
We are looking for a Senior Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join a small, highly collaborative team that values innovation, curiosity, and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys understanding the business and technical requirements behind a solution and determining the right infrastructure approach-not simply implementing what has already been defined.
You will work across Azure infrastructure, cloud modernization, systems architecture, API management, monitoring, performance, and application support. Over time, the role will also expand into new development and product support based on your background and the needs of the team.
What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and modernize Azure cloud infrastructure and environments.
• Provision and manage Azure resources, including storage, containers, virtual machines, and related cloud services.
• Work with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and identity-related technologies.
• Implement and support API Management solutions.
• Monitor Azure environments and proactively identify performance, availability, and infrastructure health issues.
• Evaluate infrastructure and systems requirements and determine the appropriate technical solution.
• Apply architectural judgment when evaluating options such as firewalls, application gateways, networking, and other Azure services.
• Participate in solution architecture and cloud modernization initiatives.
• Conduct performance testing and assess the overall health and performance of infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to support applications and products.
• Contribute to new development and code writing as the role evolves.
• Participate in an environment that blends Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Requirements
What We're Looking For
Required Experience

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Experience implementing and managing Azure API Management.
• Experience with Azure monitoring and infrastructure health.
• Experience with Azure cloud implementation, modernization, and solution architecture.
• Experience provisioning and managing cloud resources, including:
• Storage
• Containers
• Virtual machines
• Networking and related Azure services
• Strong understanding of systems and infrastructure architecture.
• Ability to evaluate multiple technical solutions based on business requirements and use cases.
• Experience with infrastructure performance testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
