Senior Java Developer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Java Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is for a senior Java Developer/Lead with extensive hands-on experience in the full development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, Webservices (REST and SOAP), and experience in a DevOps environment with continuous integration and delivery. Experience in the payments domain is also a key component of this position.

Responsibilities:

• Serve in a hands-on Developer/Lead capacity
• Review requirements and project documentation to understand the application and perform automation feasibility analysis
• Assist with offshore and onshore task coordination

Requirements:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in a Developer or Lead role
• Solid computer programming experience with Java/J2EE, SQL, Spring, Spring Boot, Webservices (REST and SOAP), and HTML
• Experience in DevOps, continuous delivery, and continuous integration
• Knowledge of transactions, JaxB, JMS, JDBC, Weblogic, JBOSS, and MQ
• Strong understanding of core Java concepts (streams, files, collections)
• Experience with IBM MQ or Kafka and Oracle databases
• Familiarity with the Payments Domain, Agile methodologies, and Containers

Desired skills:

• Knowledge of Drools

Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
