Project Overview | We are seeking a Lead Engineer for Oracle HCM Cloud Applications to lead the design, implementation, enhancement, and support of key HCM modules across the enterprise. This role requires a strong techno-functional leader with deep Oracle HCM Cloud experience and the ability to partner with HR, Compensation, Talent, Recruiting, Payroll, IT, and vendor teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud modules such as Core HR, Absence Management, Recruiting, Talent Management, Workforce Compensation, Journeys, Redwood, Approvals, Security, Reporting, and Integrations. This person should be able to lead complex transformation initiatives, support critical annual HR cycles, and deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions. A critical requirement for this role is experience using AI tools, AI agents, and automation to improve business operations. Duties/Day to Day Overview | - Lead implementation, configuration, enhancement, and production support for Oracle HCM Cloud modules, including Core HR, Workforce Compensation, Talent Management, Recruiting, Absence Management, Journeys, Approvals, Security, Reporting, and Redwood experiences.
- Support annual HR processes, including performance cycles, compensation reviews, merit and bonus planning, goal management, eligibility processing, and related reporting.
- Configure and support absence plans across multiple geographies, including eligibility rules, accruals, carryover processes, and country-specific requirements.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze processes, define solution options, and translate business needs into effective Oracle HCM Cloud solutions.
- Design and manage integrations between Oracle HCM Cloud and internal systems, external vendors, payroll providers, benefits providers, and downstream applications.
- Develop and support OTBI reports, BI Publisher reports, HCM Extracts, HDL/HSDL loads, dashboards, and operational reporting.
- Analyze Oracle HCM data structures, security roles, business objects, integrations, and reporting logic to troubleshoot complex production issues.
- Lead Oracle quarterly update reviews, impact assessments, regression planning, testing coordination, and enablement of relevant new features.
- Create functional designs, technical designs, test plans, deployment plans, support documentation, and knowledge articles.
- Provide technical and functional leadership to Oracle HCM SMEs, engineers, QA resources, contractors, and vendor teams.
- Mentor team members on Oracle HCM Cloud configuration, reporting, integrations, support processes, release management, and automation practices.
- Lead medium to large initiatives through estimation, planning, design, build, testing, deployment, hyper care, and transition to steady-state support.
AI, Automation, and Continuous Improvement - Identify manual, repetitive, and error-prone processes across Oracle HCM operations and recommend automation or AI-assisted improvements.
- Use AI tools, AI agents, and automation platforms to improve HR operations, production support, data validation, reporting, testing, documentation, and business-user productivity.
- Design AI-assisted solutions for use cases such as issue triage, exception monitoring, report generation, knowledge retrieval, regression testing support, process documentation, and operational analytics.
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to evaluate where AI can create measurable value while maintaining data privacy, security, auditability, and compliance.
- Promote responsible AI usage by ensuring AI-generated outputs are reviewed, validated, and aligned with enterprise standards before use in business-critical processes.

Top Requirements (Must haves) | - 15+ years of experience in Oracle HCM, Oracle HRMS, or Oracle HCM Cloud applications.
- At least two full lifecycle Oracle HCM Cloud implementations across modules such as Core HR, Workforce Compensation, Talent Management, Recruiting, Absence Management, Benefits, or Payroll-related integrations.
- Strong techno-functional expertise with deep understanding of both business process design and technical solution delivery.
- Hands-on experience with Core HR, Workforce Compensation, Talent Management, Absence Management, Reporting, Security, Approvals, and Integrations.
- Strong experience supporting annual compensation and performance cycles, including eligibility rules, merit planning, bonus planning, performance documents, goals, and downstream reporting.
- Expertise in OTBI, BI Publisher, HCM Extracts, HDL, HSDL, data conversion, reporting security, and Oracle HCM table structures.
- Experience with REST APIs, automation scripts, data validation tools, integrations, and solutions that reduce manual effort.
- Practical experience using AI tools, AI agents, or automation capabilities to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and business outcomes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading teams, mentoring SMEs, coordinating testing, managing releases, and supporting production operations.
