Job Description

Are you an electrically-biased Maintenance Engineer with strong PLC fault-finding skills, looking to join a manufacturing site that's expanding its engineering team?

This is a new opportunity to join the engineering function of an established manufacturing business based near Buckingham / Tingewick. The site is growing its maintenance capability and adding a second Maintenance Engineer to work alongside the existing team, giving the function a proper mechanical and electrical balance.

What you'll do:

  • Work alongside the site's existing Maintenance Engineer, who is mechanically biased, to balance out the team's skill set
  • Lead on electrical fault-finding, control systems and PLC work across site machinery
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment
  • Support machine programming, controls and electrical issues site-wide
  • Work on motors, pneumatics, hydraulics and associated equipment where needed
  • Liaise with contractors and internal teams, and keep accurate maintenance records
  • Promote safe working practices across the site
  • Complete maintenance records and reports accurately

What you'll bring:

  • Strong electrical fault-finding background, ideally with PLC experience (Siemens or Mitsubishi)
  • Comfortable working alongside a mechanically-focused colleague, complementing rather than duplicating that skill set
  • Industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Sound understanding of 3-phase electrics and electrical troubleshooting
  • Right to work in the UK without sponsorship
  • A driving licence would be beneficial due to the site location

What's on offer:

  • £45,000 per annum
  • Bonus of up to 10% depending on individual and company performance
  • 33 days holiday per annum
  • 40 hours per week
  • Flexible daytime hours, typically 7.30am to 4.00pm, with slight adjustments possible by agreement
  • Full-time, permanent role
  • Opportunity to join a growing engineering team and shape how the function runs
