Launch Your Data Center Career - Train with CBRE, Power the Future with Meta

Meta is growing fast, and they need people like you to help power their AI infrastructure. This is your opportunity to start a stable career in a rapidly growing industry with competitive pay and benefits at a Meta Data Center.

Through Meta's sponsored America's Workforce Academy Fiber Technician Pathway Program, CBRE is recruiting candidates for a four-week paid training program held at purpose-built training locations in Columbus, OH or Indianapolis, IN.

  • Travel expenses are fully covered.
  • Participants receive a daily per diem during training.
  • Upon successful completion of the program, graduates transition into a permanent, full-time Fiber Installer role at a Meta Data Center.

Please Note: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship (including H-1B or STEM OPT), now or in the future.

What You'll Do (and Learn to Do)

During training, and later in your full-time role, you'll develop skills in:

  • Installing, testing, terminating, labeling, and documenting fiber optic cabling.
  • Pulling low-voltage cables through conduits, ceilings, and pathways (ISP/OSP).
  • Reading and interpreting floor plans, port maps, and telecommunications drawings.
  • Installing ladder rack, fiber troughs, seismic bracing, and grounding systems.
  • Patching, labeling, and barcoding network equipment with accuracy and consistency.
  • Following safety procedures and learning alongside experienced technicians.

No Experience Required

No prior experience is necessary. Everything you need to succeed will be taught during the paid training program.

What We're Looking For

  • A strong willingness to learn and take direction.
  • A safety-first mindset, along with reliability and teamwork.
  • Comfort using hand tools.
  • Readiness for hands-on, physical work.
  • Interest in technical systems, cabling, or construction-related environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.

Training & Pay (Earn While You Learn)

  • Four-week paid training program with new classes starting weekly.
  • $25.00 per hour during training.
  • Local participants may commute daily.
  • Non-local participants receive company-paid housing, travel, and meals for the duration of training.
