FIG/Insurance M&A & Principal investment - Associate to VP1 - Goodman Masson

A leading FIG investment bank team with a strong record in Capital Light FIG and Insurance is expanding their London team and targeting an Associate due to continued growth and pipeline. You will be a high calibre FIG investment banker and have gained experience working on Insurance M&A transactions deal experience.

In addition to buy and sell-side M&A, there is a principal investments element to the role (approximately 50:50 with M&A). The team has a pot of money to invest (FIG, FS Services focus, ticket size up to 100m).

Key responsibilities centre on:

1. Execution of on-going deals within the group, e.g. M&A transactions, Financing, Capital Markets etc
2. Supporting senior bankers delivering strategic advice to clients

– Strategic idea generation

– Preparation of pitch book and discussion materials

– Data analysis

– Modelling (operating models, capital models, merger models, LBO, etc.)

Requirements:

1. A proven background in FIG Investment banking (with a credible investment bank or boutique) along with relevant transactional experience
2. Some Insurance related M&A experience is preferred
3. Excellent financial modelling experience (operating models, merger models, LBO, etc )
4. Experience in buy-side and sell-side M&A
5. Strong communications skills: ability to interact confidently with banking professionals and clients
6. Outstanding analytical skills
7. Team player, willing and able to work with, coach and develop juniors
