CA Spectrum Consultant

Job Description: 

We're looking for a CA Spectrum Consultant to evaluate and enhance the client's enterprise CA Spectrum (Broadcom DX NetOps Spectrum) environment. This role involves conducting a thorough review of the current deployment, assessing how well it aligns with industry best practices, and pinpointing architectural, operational, and configuration gaps that could affect performance, scalability, reliability, or maintainability.

Responsiblities: 

• Take inventory of and review the existing Spectrum architecture, including SpectroSERVER, OneClick, integrated modules, and the HA/distributed setup.
• Evaluate discovery, polling, alarm and event correlation, and overall monitoring coverage.
• Assess integrations (ServiceNow, trap/syslog forwarding, APIs), user access controls, and patch/version currency.
• Benchmark the environment against Broadcom's recommended best practices.
• Document identified gaps and deliver prioritized recommendations organized into a short/mid/long-term value matrix. Present findings to both technical teams and leadership stakeholders.

Preferred: 

• At least 8 years of hands-on experience architecting and administering CA Spectrum in enterprise settings.
• Experience deploying, remediating, or migrating similar solutions is a plus. Strong foundation in SNMP and networking fundamentals, with experience in distributed SpectroSERVER and HA design.
• Background in Spectrum integrations and enterprise-level assessment or consulting engagements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills suited to both technical and executive audiences.
