Sr DevOps Engineer

job summary:

For this contractor assignment, Research and Development (RD) SAS Cloud is an AWS infrastructure and is automated through Terraform, but much of the server-level engineering remains manual. This contractor will be doing SAS installations, Linux configuration, maintenance activities, and recovery processes, which are not yet fully automated.

- Standardize server builds

- Automate patching

- Automate image creation

- Improve repeatability and recoverability

qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunication, Math) and minimum of four years working with operating system hardware and/or software components in designing and scripting infrastructure solutions.

- In lieu of degree, minimum of six years related experience working with operating system hardware and/or software components in designing and scripting infrastructure solutions.
