Sr. Citrix NetScaler Engineer (F5 to NetScaler Migration Specialist)
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Citrix NetScaler Engineer for a critical infrastructure modernization project. The primary focus of this role is to successfully migrate our application delivery network from F5 BIG-IP to Citrix NetScaler, leveraging the NetScaler Configuration Migration Tool.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in deploying high-performance NetScaler hardware, complex traffic management, robust security configurations, and delivering comprehensive technical documentation and knowledge transfer.
Sr. Citrix NetScaler Engineer Core Responsibilities

• Migration & Translation: Lead the end-to-end migration from F5 to NetScaler. Utilize the NetScaler Configuration Migration Tool and manually convert existing F5 iRules into optimized Citrix NetScaler policies/expressions.
• Hardware Deployment & Licensing: Rack, stack, and configure brand new physical NetScaler SDX 17000 series appliances, managing pooled capacity via UHMC (Unified Hardware Management Console) licensing.
• Virtualization: Provision, configure, and manage virtual VPX appliances per data center instance within the SDX ecosystem.
• High Availability & Redundancy: Architect and implement local High Availability (HA) pairs within each data center, alongside Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB) to ensure seamless global redundancy across data centers.
• Security & Access Control: Enable and configure the NetScaler Built-in Web Application Firewall (WAF) to protect NetScaler Gateway, AAA authentication services, and administrative management interfaces.
• Documentation & Enablement: Author comprehensive, production-grade as-built configuration documentation and conduct formal technical enablement sessions for the internal operations team.

Sr. Citrix NetScaler Engineer Required Skills & Qualifications

• Expert-Level NetScaler Architecture: Proven track record deploying NetScaler SDX (specifically 17000 series or similar high-throughput appliances) and provisioning multi-tenant VPX instances.
• F5 Migration Expertise: Hands-on experience with the NetScaler Configuration Migration Tool and a strong understanding of F5 BIG-IP architecture to ensure accurate translation of configurations.
• Advanced Traffic Engineering: Deep expertise in writing and troubleshooting complex NetScaler policy expressions, rewrite/responder policies, and converting F5 iRules.
• Advanced Networking: Strong proficiency in L4-L7 load balancing, SSL/TLS offloading, HA clustering, and GSLB deployments.
• Security Hardening: Robust experience configuring NetScaler AAA, Gateway services, and tuning the built-in Web Application Firewall (WAF) signatures and profiles.
• Professional Delivery: Excellent technical writing skills for architectural documentation and strong communication skills for facilitating team enablement sessions.
