Job Description

Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. seeks a Private Equity P&C Underwriting Specialist / Executive Underwriter to drive profitable growth in a complex portfolio. You will underwrite property and casualty risks tied to private equity and M&A transactions, analyze financials and deal structures, and design tailored risk transfer solutions. Partnering with brokers, clients, and Zurich's Risk Management team, you will develop strategies to minimize financial risk and ensure regulatory compliance. In Zurich's inclusive, sustainability-focused culture, you will help shape underwriting best practices, mentor peers, and support innovation in products and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Underwrite complex private equity and portfolio P&C risks to meet profitability and growth targets.
  • Analyze financials, deal structures, and loss data to design tailored risk transfer solutions.
  • Collaborate with brokers, clients, and internal experts to structure and negotiate coverage terms.
  • Ensure underwriting practices comply with Zurich guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, adjust strategy, and contribute to underwriting governance.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior underwriters and support best-practice development.
  • Partner with Risk Management to develop strategies that minimize clients' financial risk.
  • Support innovation, sustainability initiatives, and Zurich's inclusive, collaborative culture.
