Executive Underwriter OR AVP Underwriting Director

Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. seeks an Executive Underwriter or AVP Underwriting Director to lead complex commercial underwriting within our Insurance department. You will own portfolio strategy, assess and price sophisticated risks, ensure regulatory and underwriting compliance, and partner with brokers, actuaries, and risk engineers to craft tailored solutions. Responsibilities

• Lead underwriting of complex commercial accounts to drive profitable growth
• Develop and implement risk selection, pricing, and portfolio strategies
• Ensure compliance with underwriting authority, guidelines, and regulations
• Collaborate with brokers, risk engineers, and actuaries on deal structuring
• Analyze financials and exposure data to set terms and conditions
• Guide and mentor underwriters; contribute to talent development
• Engage with clients to understand risk needs and propose solutions
• Monitor portfolio performance and adjust appetite as needed
• Support innovation, sustainability, and inclusive culture initiatives
• Contribute to enterprise risk management and governance frameworks
