Digital Product Designer

About the Role

HID Global is seeking a Senior Digital Product Designer to support a strategic new product initiative within its Printers business unit. This position will play a key role in bringing UX and product design capabilities in-house by transitioning work currently performed by an external design agency into HID's internal design organization.
This is an opportunity to help shape the future user experience of a connected hardware and software ecosystem. The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative, full-stack product designer who can drive the entire design process, from user research and workflow definition to interaction design and polished visual execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product design efforts across web-based and hardware-connected experiences
• Conduct user research and translate findings into intuitive user journeys and workflows
• Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity designs
• Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to define user-centered solutions
• Establish and maintain design standards and contribute to the evolution of the design system
• Balance business objectives, technical constraints, and user needs to deliver impactful experiences
• Help define the UX vision for a new printer ecosystem initiative

Required Experience

• 7+ years of Product Design, UX Design, or Digital Product Design experience
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design thinking and execution
• Experience designing enterprise software, SaaS applications, or complex digital products
• Expertise in user experience design, interaction design, and visual design
• Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma
• Experience collaborating within cross-functional product development teams

Preferred Experience

• Experience designing products that interact with physical devices or hardware
• Familiarity with connected devices, IoT products, printers, or embedded systems
• Experience working within enterprise environments and complex user workflows
• Exposure to design systems and scalable UX frameworks

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $85.00/hr.
