Job Description

InSight Systems is a leading provider of workplace technology solutions, specialising in AV integration, strategic consultation and managed services. For over 20 years, we have delivered innovative and reliable solutions to medium and large organisations across a range of sectors, including government, corporate, healthcare, education and sports.

We are seeking an experienced AV Service Technician to join our Managed Services team in a full-time role based in Melbourne CBD.

This is a hands-on role responsible for providing customer-focused AV and Level 2 IT support within a large-scale client environment. You'll respond to day-to-day service requests, troubleshoot complex AV issues and help ensure meeting, teaching and collaboration spaces operate reliably.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and resolution for AV and desktop computing issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve service incidents and requests within agreed SLA timeframes.
  • Use remote monitoring and support platforms to proactively identify and resolve AV issues.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance checks and system audits.
  • Configure AV devices on networks and troubleshoot common IT/network issues.
  • Configure and operate DSPs, control systems, video conferencing and unified communications equipment.
  • Provide in-room AV and IT support to users and other technical teams.
  • Manage devices across Microsoft and Apple environments.
  • Maintain accurate service tickets, asset information and room records.
  • Provide professional, proactive communication to clients throughout the resolution process.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in an AV Technician, AV Service Technician or similar technical support role.
  • Strong hands on AV troubleshooting and fault finding skills.
  • Experience with DSPs, control systems, video conferencing and unified communications technology.
  • An understanding of AV networking and common IT faults.
  • Experience working with Microsoft and Apple environments.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage service requests and priorities within SLA timeframes.
  • Strong attention to detail when maintaining tickets and technical documentation.
  • A proactive, team focused approach to problem solving.
