Job Description
Job Number: R0252138
Data Systems Engineer
The Opportunity:
Are you looking for an opportunity to combine systems thinking, data-driven decision making, and engineering expertise to make an impact on the Navy? As a Data Systems Engineer, you'll help transform how the U.S. Navy's submarine community leverages data, analytics, AI/ML, logistics, and financial information to improve operational readiness and mission effectiveness.
You understand how complex organizations operate and can translate real-world operational challenges into technical solutions. Your ability to connect stakeholders, processes, data sources, and technology enables mission-critical decisions across the submarine enterprise.
As a Data Systems Engineer on our team, you'll help shape the future of data-driven naval operations by supporting initiatives focused on submarine readiness, sustainment, logistics modernization, force planning, and resource optimization. You'll work closely with Navy stakeholders, engineers, data scientists, logisticians, and financial analysts to identify mission challenges, define requirements, and develop scalable solutions that improve decision making.
You will support the development of data architectures, operational workflows, analytics capabilities, and AI/ML-enabled solutions across a variable mission environment. You'll help define business rules, system requirements, and data integration approaches while ensuring solutions align with Navy operational needs.
On our team, you'll broaden your experience across advanced analytics, enterprise data management, AI/ML applications, logistics systems, operational readiness assessment, and digital transformation initiatives supporting some of the Navy's most critical missions.
