Systems Engineer with Security Clearance

Systems Engineer Location: San Diego, CA Description: On-site in San Diego, CA Our client seeks a systems engineer to support the Navy’s Key Management project portfolio across software systems design, development, and integration. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet Navy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software systems for Navy Key Management projects
• Collaborate with software developers, analysts, and stakeholders to define system requirements
• Implement system architecture and ensure compliance with Navy standards
• Conduct system testing and validation to ensure functionality and reliability
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for deployed systems
• Document system design, code, and test results
• Participate in agile development processes and sprint planning Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or software development
• Proven experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies
• Strong understanding of system architecture and design principles
• Experience with Navy or defense-related projects is highly desirable
• Knowledge of security protocols and compliance requirements for defense systems
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with agile development frameworks
• Familiarity with Navy-specific software tools and environments
• Background in key management systems or cryptographic solutions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Clearance: Active Secret clearance required. Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance with polygraph may be required for certain tasks.
