3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic

SBA Home North Carolina is the first U.S. production facility of SBA Group, a leading European furniture manufacturer headquartered in Lithuania. Operations are scheduled to begin in late 2025, and the facility will employ more than 250 talented professionals. This highly automated and robotic manufacturing site will produce furniture reaching millions of homes across the United States, offering employees the opportunity to grow their careers in a cutting-edge manufacturing environment. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Mechanic to support the reliability and performance of our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment throughout the plant to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production (10pm-6am after training on 1st shift 6am - 2pm)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems, automated equipment, machinery, and facility electrical components.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, control, and automation issues in a timely manner to minimize equipment downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• Install, test, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, motors, drives, sensors, PLCs, control panels, and related electrical equipment.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to support equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals to effectively troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
• Prepare and maintain work instructions related to electrical maintenance, equipment operation, safety procedures, TPM activities, and standard work practices.
• Fabricate, modify, or repair electrical components and wiring systems using appropriate electrical and plant tools as needed.
• Ensure all electrical work is completed in compliance with company quality standards, OSHA regulations, electrical codes, safety requirements, and environmental policies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair documentation, inspection reports, and inventory usage within the maintenance management system.
• Support installation, startup, and commissioning of new electrical equipment, automation systems, and production machinery.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification, associate degree, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment or a similar industrial role.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, automated environment.
