YOUR TASK

As a Senior Manager Transaction Advisory, you will take a leading role in advising private equity clients on complex international transactions and strategic value creation topics. You will independently lead projects, act as a trusted senior contact for clients and translate complex analyses into clear, commercially relevant insights and actionable recommendations.

You will take responsibility for the successful delivery of engagements while providing direction to your project teams, ensuring high-quality output and developing the capabilities of your team members. You understand individual strengths and development needs and use these to build effective, high-performing teams.

Beyond individual engagements, you will build and develop long-term client relationships, identify new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of our Private Equity practice. As a line manager, you will also take an active role in the professional development, performance and career progression of colleagues.

Look forward to diverse and challenging tasks, such as:

• Independent leadership of complex advisory projects for private equity investors in international transactions, with a focus on tech, software, IT services and industrial tech.
• Development, management and delivery of commercial due diligence projects on the buy- and sell-side, including comprehensive analyses of business models, competitive landscapes and market potential.
• Structuring, challenging and presenting value enhancement and growth strategies for portfolio companies.
• Active advice and conception of buy & build and digitalisation programmes; preparation and presentation of equity stories and value creation plans.
• Leading senior client interactions, workshops and presentations, acting as a trusted contact and ensuring that client needs and investment priorities are reflected throughout the engagement.
• Identification of new investment opportunities through target screenings, sector strategies and market trends, while proactively identifying opportunities to further develop client relationships.
• Leadership, coaching and development of Managers and Consultants, including effective delegation, quality assurance and creating opportunities for team members to take ownership.
• Formal line-management responsibility, including regular feedback, development and career discussions and active contribution to performance and promotion processes.
• Active participation in business development, including client relationship development, acquisition activities, pitch leadership and the further development of our consulting services and propositions.
• Cross-functional collaboration with international teams and experts in technology, data and operations within the international private equity environment.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

• You have a completed master's degree and extensive practical experience in management consulting, transaction advisory, corporate finance or a comparable environment.
• You have significant experience in strategy and transaction consulting, particularly Commercial Due Diligence and advising private equity clients.
• You have a proven track record of independently leading complex projects and managing project teams in a demanding consulting environment.
• You demonstrate strong client-facing capabilities and are confident in building relationships, leading discussions and presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• You combine strategic and analytical thinking with sound commercial judgement and the ability to translate complex findings into clear and actionable recommendations.
• You have demonstrated experience in coaching and developing colleagues and taking responsibility for their professional development, ideally including formal line-management responsibility.
• You demonstrate a commercial mindset and are motivated to contribute actively to business development, client relationship building and the growth of the Private Equity practice.
• You have excellent communication and presentation skills in both German and English.
