Key responsibilities include: Product Technical Support- Drive NPD and project manage critical path effectively to successfully launch products.
- Contribute to the development of innovative commercially viable products that meet with local and international food trends
- Align product development with the customer brief and Kitchen Food Company quality system and processes
- Maintain product specifications staying updated of industry regulations and standards
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to identify new ingredients, technologies, and processes to enhance product quality and safety.
- Manage factory trials and evaluate for continuous improvement
- Assist with the management of risk in Kitchen supply chains, from source, ingredients and raw materials, processing, manufacturing and dispatch (safety and business risks)
- Support the supplier strategy for the customer, ensuring the best suppliers are used.
- Work with procurement team to develop the accurate raw material specifications
- Work with site teams from concept to launch completing factory trials and refining our processes
- Monitor and analyze consumer feedback and market trends to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement.
- Identify areas for improvement in existing products and processes and develop solutions to address any issues.
- Passionate about food
- Degree in food science/qualifications in related area
- At least 3 year's experience working in food manufacturing environment (FMCG preferable)
- Developed working knowledge of food technology and product development processes
- Relevant product knowledge to deliver safe, legal, responsibly sourced products to the customer
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Sound knowledge of food standards, PEAL labelling, and compliancy requirements
