Job Title: IT Asset and Technology Manager
Location: San Jose, CA

Duration: Fulltime / Permanent
Schedule: Onsite

Travel up to 10% going to new construction sites

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Asset & Technology Manager to lead the day-to-day and strategic management of software, hardware, contracts, and technology assets across the organization.
This role will be responsible for establishing and optimizing asset management processes, ensuring compliance with software licensing and vendor agreements, improving technology spend, and maintaining accurate visibility into the organization's IT asset environment throughout the full asset lifecycle.
The successful candidate will partner closely with infrastructure, IT, business-unit, procurement, and vendor teams to improve operational reliability, control costs, and establish consistent asset management practices across the organization.

This role reports to the IT Director and has 7 direct reports at this time. This person needs to come from asset management and have a background in people management as well.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3+ years of experience in IT asset management, software asset management, hardware asset management, IT operations, or a closely related role.
- 2+ years of experience managing staff, teams, or distributed IT resources.

- Demonstrated knowledge of IT hardware, software, licensing, contracts, and asset lifecycle management. The ideal candidate is a hands-on IT asset management professional who combines strong operational discipline with strategic thinking. You are comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and partnering with technical and business stakeholders at various levels of an organization.
- Demonstrated success implementing and executing strategic IT asset management processes.
- Strong knowledge of software licensing models, agreements, and compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and practices.
- Experience managing the lifecycle of IT hardware and software assets.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong vendor management, relationship-building, and negotiation capabilities.
- Good understanding of business operations and how technology investments support organizational objectives.
- Experience managing and developing staff or distributed IT resources.
