Job Description
Job Title: Project/Program Manager
Location: US – Canada Remote
Duration: Long term Contract
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of contract project managers to successfully execute and deliver a portion of the Consumer group portfolio
- Partner with business, product and IT senior leaders and stakeholders to pro-actively manage and align on project delivery status and mitigate escalations
- Take ownership of program and project budgets and managing overall delivery
- Provide project management and direction to ensure the project team has a clear understanding of timelines, risks, escalation path and roles/responsibilities they will undertake within the project team.
- Act as an escalation point for the project team and project stakeholders to manage risks, develop mitigation plans and path to green throughout the project.
- Proactively manage change control and communicate impact in project scope, identify issues, and devise contingency plans.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths while maintaining accurate project plans with real-time milestone, task, and project health data.
Qualifications:
- 10+ consecutive years’ experience in Program/Project Management with a Telecommunications company
- Proven track record of managing complex telecom projects from initiation to completion
- Familiarity with different telecom technologies like Fiber Optics, wireless networks and data infrastructure
- Expertise in telecom protocols and standards
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
- Knowledge of budgeting and cost control practices
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong decision-making skills under pressure
