Info Security Sys Engineer with Security Clearance

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an Info Security Sys Engineer Position type: Full Time, Contract to Hire
Duration: 12 Month
Location: Salt Lake City, UT (Remote) As an Info Security Sys Engineer, you will:

• Execute and support RMF lifecycle activities (categorization, control selection, implementation, assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring)
• Develop, maintain, and review RMF documentation (e.g., SSPs, SARs, POA&Ms, Security Plans)
• Interpret and apply security controls from NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and related guidance
• Support implementation and validation of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and other configuration baselines
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams (systems, software, hardware) to ensure security requirements are properly implemented
• Interface with internal stakeholders, Authorizing Officials (AOs), and external assessors to support authorization efforts
• Track and report compliance status, risks, and remediation activities to program leadership
• Contribute to continuous monitoring strategies and ongoing system compliance The ideal candidate will have: Secret Clearance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, or related field with and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience or in lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• The ideal candidate should hold a DoD 8140/8570-compliant certification such as Security+, CISSP, SSCP, or GSEC, or be able to obtain one within six months of hire. Preference is given to candidates with experience in RMF compliance, ATO processes, NIST SP 800-53 controls, STIGs, and tools such as eMASS or XACTA, along with exposure to classified or high-assurance systems. • Candidates should also have a solid understanding of networking concepts, embedded or communications systems, and Agile/DevSecOps environments, while working effectively with cross-functional engineering teams. • Experience with cryptographic systems, FIPS 140-3, NSA certification processes, and strong technical documentation skills is highly valued. • Additional certifications, familiarity with TEMPEST or Anti-Tamper security disciplines. Pay Range*: $60 - $65 per hour
