Rather than operating solely as a conventional research agency, the organisation has access to its own extensive international network of healthcare professionals, enabling it to connect pharmaceutical companies and healthcare agencies directly with the audiences they need to understand.

Combining this global reach with a range of innovative research solutions, the business helps clients uncover meaningful insights, better understand healthcare professionals and make informed strategic decisions.

They are now looking to appoint a Senior Manager to join their team, offering an opportunity to work in a highly consultative, client-facing environment.

The Role

This is a highly consultative position that combines pharmaceutical market research expertise with client relationship management, strategic thinking and commercial account development.

Rather than focusing solely on the hands-on delivery of research projects, you will work closely with pharmaceutical and healthcare agency clients to understand their business challenges, explore their research requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.

You will be responsible for developing strong relationships with existing clients, overseeing the successful delivery of research programmes and ensuring the insights provided are relevant, actionable and aligned with their commercial objectives.

Working alongside senior leadership, commercial colleagues and project delivery teams, you will also help identify opportunities to expand existing relationships and contribute to the ongoing development of innovative research services.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong, consultative relationships with pharmaceutical and healthcare agency clients.

• Work closely with clients to understand their commercial challenges, research objectives and evolving business needs.

• Recommend appropriate research solutions and methodologies that address client requirements.

• Support the development of tailored research proposals, ensuring a clear understanding of client objectives.

• Oversee the delivery of healthcare market research projects, including larger and more complex research programmes.

• Review questionnaires, discussion guides and other research materials to ensure they align with client needs.

• Review final reports and research deliverables, ensuring findings provide meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.

• Collaborate with internal project management teams and external research partners to ensure seamless project delivery.

• Work alongside commercial and senior leadership teams to identify opportunities to strengthen and develop existing client accounts.

• Maintain high levels of client satisfaction, proactively addressing queries and ensuring a positive client experience.

• Contribute to the development of new research solutions, service improvements and innovative approaches to meeting client needs.

About You

• Strong experience within pharmaceutical or healthcare primary market research, ideally gained within an agency or consultancy environment.

• A solid understanding of quantitative research methodologies, alongside knowledge of qualitative approaches.

• Experience working directly with pharmaceutical clients in a consultative or client-facing capacity.

• Ability to understand client business challenges and translate these into appropriate research solutions.

• Experience reviewing research materials, interpreting findings and ensuring the delivery of actionable insights.

• Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Commercial awareness, with an interest in developing existing client relationships and identifying opportunities for growth.

• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

• A collaborative approach and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders across different business functions.
