About the Georgia Public Policy Foundation
The Georgia Public Policy Foundation (GPPF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, nonpartisan research and education organization that believes all good public policy is based upon fact, an understanding of sound economic principles and the core principles of our free enterprise system: economic freedom, limited government, personal responsibility, individual initiative, respect for private property and the rule of law. Our mission is to improve the lives of Georgians through public policies that enhance economic opportunity and freedom.
About the Opening
The Government Affairs Intern will support GPPF’s government affairs and policy efforts across our leading issues in housing, regulatory reform, taxes, education, and healthcare. The Government Affairs Intern will assist with writing policy one-pagers, tracking legislation, coordinating meetings with partners and legislators, attending legislative hearings, and other tasks. This position is full-time in our Atlanta, GA office. Most days will be spent at the Georgia Capitol with the Government Affairs Director. While the Government Affairs Intern will not engage in lobbying, they will get experience in state-level policy advocacy. There may be opportunities for policy research and writing as well.
