Snowflake Database Administrator

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce's client in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Snowflake Database Administrator to support platform security, access management, performance monitoring, and day-to-day operations of a cloud data warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage users, roles, and permissions using least-privilege RBAC principles
• Administer databases, schemas, tables, views, and related Snowflake objects
• Monitor and optimize virtual warehouses for performance and cost
• Support access reviews, MFA, and security administration activities
• Investigate query performance issues and resource utilization
• Assist with cloning, Time Travel, resource monitors, and recovery processes
• Respond to support tickets and maintain operational documentation
• Partner with data engineering and analytics teams

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ years of Snowflake administration experience or similar cloud data warehouse experience
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Snowflake administration tools
• Knowledge of RBAC, object permissions, and security best practices
• Experience managing compute resources, workloads, and cost optimization
• Familiarity with ACCOUNT_USAGE and INFORMATION_SCHEMA
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred:

• SnowPro Core certification (or pursuing certification)
• Experience with SnowSQL, Terraform, schemachange, or dbt
• Knowledge of SSO, SCIM, network policies, masking, and row-level security
• Familiarity with Tasks, Streams, Snowpipe, and Data Sharing

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
