AHRC NYC is seeking a Quality Systems Specialist for their Employment Business Services (EBS) division. This position will support the overall quality and effectiveness of departmental services and training programs. The role is responsible for implementing and coordinating quality assurance strategies and measurement tools, as well as implementing EBS trainings that promote high‑quality, person‑centered service delivery.

Compensation Package: $55,000 per year plus a very generous and comprehensive Benefit package. See Benefit information below.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 9am-5pm (35 hours per week)

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyzes and evaluates quality‑related issues in service programming, delivery, and environments, applying established best practices.
  • Ensures program compliance with all relevant city, state, and federal regulations, as well as agency and departmental policies.
  • Reviews habilitation records and safety‑related documentation in alignment with regulatory requirements and the EBS quality work plan.
  • Monitors admission and discharge processes across departmental programs.
  • Reviews internal site reports and supports managers in developing strategies to address identified deficiencies.
  • Coordinates operations across departmental programs and collaborates with other agency teams on cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Meets regularly with the Quality Systems Supervisor, borough directors, and other staff to address service quality issues and support continuous improvement.
  • Participates in EBS staff meetings to review and refine policies, procedures, and organizational goals.
  • Assists the Quality Systems Supervisor in resolving departmental concerns and operational challenges.
  • Supports the development and monitoring of EBS trainings and curricula.
  • Implements departmental directives and training priorities established by the Quality Systems Supervisor.
  • Contributes to projects involving the implementation of electronic record systems.
  • Facilitates training sessions as needed.
  • Participates in Safety Committee activities, facility safety reviews, and related initiatives.
  • Utilizes EBS systems such as CX360, Time and Attendance, eVero, Microsoft Teams, and others.
  • Participates in projects related to quality measures, assessment tools, and person‑centered practices.
  • Participates in systemic audits to assess service quality and compliance, recommending corrective actions when appropriate.
  • Performs additional tasks and special projects as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, with at least five years of relevant experience required.
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable regulations, current developments in the field of developmental disabilities and autism, and agency/departmental policies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally, build effective working relationships, deliver presentations, and actively listen.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, including the capacity to manage multiple projects, delegate appropriately, and follow through independently.
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, set priorities, make independent decisions, and address operational issues in time‑sensitive or high‑pressure situations.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to service sites throughout the city.
