Quality Assurance Engineer

Quality Engineer Location: Benson, NC Hours: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM Our client is hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer to shape quality systems, drive continuous improvement, and be a hands on partner to Process Engineering and Product Development. Responsibilities include:

• Monitor process capability through statistical analysis and recommend specification changes - Own the Quality Near Miss and On-Hold programs, using them as leading indicators for improvement - Lead A3 process improvement initiatives and support Gemba walks to capture associate feedback - Analyze raw material inputs in partnership with Process Engineering and Product Development - Develop and execute test method validation protocols for new and existing processes - Conduct root cause analysis on nonconforming material and track corrective/preventive actions - Serve as the technical point of contact for customers and vendors, issuing CARs/SCARs as needed - Coordinate ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements and audits Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Textiles, Quality Management, or Engineering - Working knowledge of manufacturing environments - Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems Preferred:
• Experience in the nonwoven, textile, or paper mill industry - Six Sigma certification
