Network Engineer

Our client, a leading organisation in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking a Network Engineer - Juniper to join their team in Portsmouth. This permanent role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and play a key role in the delivery of key communications and network systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate and resolve technical issues across existing networks and systems
• Support multiple projects and ensure timely delivery of technical outputs
• Implement and configure new systems and solutions
• Collaborate with project managers and technical leads to deliver quality outputs
• Assist with system implementations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Develop processes and support the team by sharing knowledge and providing practical solutions
• Maintain high standards of professionalism in a structured IT environment

Job Requirements:

• Hands-on experience in networking, IT, and communications
• Prior experience as a network engineer within an IT department
• Experience in supporting networks, including cyber patches and issue investigations
• Understanding of Microsoft, Windows, Linux, or coding environments is advantageous
• Ability to investigate problems and provide solutions to complex network issues
• Degree in engineering or equivalent IT-related experience
