Job overview:

AXA Commercial are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Associate Product Owner to support the successful delivery of innovative solutions. Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and squads to shape user stories, manage backlog items and oversee iterative delivery that adds value.
  • Work with stakeholders, users, and SMEs to refine requirements and develop clear user stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Support sprint planning, backlog refinement and delivery activities, working closely with developers, designers and testers.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and serve as a key link between business and technology teams.
  • Track progress, identify blockers and escalate risks or issues to ensure timely resolution.
  • Contribute to product documentation, user testing and release activities for smooth deployments.
  • Use user feedback and metrics to support continuous product improvement and prioritisation.
  • Communicate dependencies, manage priorities and document key decisions, risks and assumptions for transparency.

Work arrangements:

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

Your skills & experience:

  • Knowledge of product delivery or business analysis roles, ideally within agile teams.
  • Effective organisational and communication skills, capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • An understanding of agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban and experience creating user stories.
  • A proactive mindset with eagerness to learn, contribute and support delivery outcomes.
  • Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar is desirable.
  • A background or interest in insurance, customer service, or digital transformation is a plus.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
