Software Engineer II Retail Media Ad Integrations

Location: Richfield, Minnesota | Hybrid Onsite 3 Days/Week
Contract: 12+ Months

Job Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Retail Media Ad Integrations (RMN) team, focused on building and supporting integrations with external advertising partners. The engineer will develop scalable, resilient, and reusable data integration solutions that enable large-scale data sharing and activation across third-party platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain data integration frameworks and services.
• Build scalable data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
• Develop and support integrations with external partners using SFTP, S3, GCS, APIs, and PGP encryption.
• Work with Dataflow, BigQuery, Airflow, Cloud Functions, and related Google Cloud Platform services.
• Develop APIs and integration services within an AWS cloud environment.
• Focus on system resiliency, observability, health monitoring, and modular architecture.
• Work with engineers to deliver features and functionality aligned with the product roadmap.
• Participate in a weekly on-call rotation, troubleshooting issues, monitoring system health, and responding to partner questions.
• Apply domain-driven design, design patterns, and data movement/integration patterns.
• Leverage Agentic AI workflow tools to improve software development and code generation.

Required Skills

• 3 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Strong development experience with Java and Python.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
• Experience with Dataflow, BigQuery, Airflow, and Cloud Functions.
• Experience building data integrations and data pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of SFTP, S3, GCS Buckets, PGP Encryption, and APIs.
• Experience with databases such as BigQuery, Bigtable, Oracle, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with cloud-based application development and integration architectures.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS and API development.
• Proficiency in Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Strong understanding of design patterns and data movement patterns.
• Experience building resilient, modular, and highly observable systems.
• Experience with Agentic AI / AI-assisted development workflows.
• Experience working with external/third-party partner integrations.
• Experience with on-call support and production troubleshooting.

Best-fit profile: Software Engineer with strong Java/Python + Google Cloud Platform + data integration experience, particularly Dataflow, BigQuery, Airflow, SFTP/S3S, APIs, and databases, with additional exposure to AWS, DDD, design patterns, and Agentic AI.
