Job Description
A leading, experience-driven organization within a consumer-focused industry is seeking a Head of Technology to guide its next phase of digital growth. This Toronto-based (hybrid) full-time opportunity will focus on advancing enterprise platforms, modernizing systems, and enhancing how customers interact with digital products and services.
This is a newly established leadership position with a significant mandate to shape the organization's technology direction. You'll work closely with executive leadership to introduce forward-looking strategies, drive innovation, and elevate the role of technology across the business. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who enjoys building high-performing teams, championing modern tools like AI and automation, and delivering technology initiatives that directly impact business performance and customer experience.

Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience (15+ years) in technology leadership roles, with a proven track record operating at a senior level (Director, Head, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale initiatives that transform systems, improve scalability, or modernize technology platforms
- Strong ability to connect technical strategy to business priorities and customer-focused outcomes
- Experience overseeing multiple technology functions, including engineering, infrastructure, and digital delivery teams
- Proven ability to manage complex priorities and drive execution across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Strong leadership presence with experience advising senior executives and influencing strategic direction
- Solid understanding of enterprise architecture, system integration, and scalable technology design principles
- Experience implementing structured planning and prioritization approaches to improve delivery and outcomes
- Experience in consumer-oriented or experience-driven industries
- Exposure to AI, automation, or data-driven initiatives that enhance personalization or operational efficiency
- Familiarity with modern engineering practices such as agile, DevOps, and CI/CD methodologies
- Experience managing external vendors, partnerships, and resource planning strategies
- Track record of improving team performance, delivery timelines, and operational efficiency
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value
- Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) or relevant certifications considered an asset

- Salary range of $170,000 to $250,000
