Business Analyst_2

 Varmoda is seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst II to support the Eligibility Data and Image Transfer System (EDITSPlus), a front-end web-based application that processes new applications and renewals from HHC hospitals, providers, and Nursing Homes. The ideal candidate will have experience developing system design specifications, workflow and business flow charts using MS Visio, and functional requirements for case processing systems. This role will serve as a liaison between users and programmers, develop test plans, support production implementation, and coordinate with multiple City Agencies to ensure EDITSPlus enhancements are delivered effectively.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop system design specifications and documentation
• Develops and prepares documents for the general design of solutions that meet system and security requirements, including the selection of alternative approaches.
• Develops workflow and business flow charts documents using MS Visio, MS Projects and MS office products.
• Develops Functional Requirements for Case processing and Case Management related Systems.
• Develop detailed systems operations designs.
• Develops appropriate Test plan for various integration testing and unit testing.
• Production Implementation process and postproduction support
• Work as a liaison between users and programmers
• Works with system and Support staff (e.g managers, senior programmers, support staff, product manager) to plan program application implementation, enhancements and changes
• Attends and represents the team for various meetings
• Writes detailed summaries of meetings and issues.
• Deals with multiple City Agencies
• Provides assistance to System and Support technical support staff when they are unable to resolve a program, database, or IT issue by themselves
• Provides general programming assistance to other System and Support programmers/projects as may be needed

Required Qualifications
A minimum of 4 years of experience with the following skill sets:

• Designing workflow systems
• Developing functional specifications, knowledge of structured design tools, working knowledge of PROJECT
• MS-Office Suite – MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Outlook, Visio
• Writing Functional report specifications
• Working with government human service agencies
