Location: London (3 days in office)
Salary/Rate: £600-700 per day inside IR35
Start Date: End of September
Job Type: Initial 3 months, potential scope to 6 months (medical leave cover)

We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Senior Business Analyst with strong Performance Measurement experience to join a global asset manager in London

Job Responsibilities/Objectives
The role is initially for 3 months to provide medical leave cover, with potential for the contract to extend to 6 months.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of investment performance measurement, including indices and constituent benchmarks, and will work closely with business and technology stakeholders on the development and enhancement of performance capabilities.

• Work with business and technology stakeholders to understand and document performance measurement requirements.
• Analyse existing performance calculation and measurement processes and identify areas for enhancement.
• Support the rework and development of performance capabilities in relation to Aladdin.
• Work with data and technology teams to ensure appropriate performance and benchmark data is available and fit for purpose.
• Analyse requirements around indices, benchmarks and benchmark constituents.
• Produce clear business requirements, process documentation and functional specifications.
• Support solution design, testing and implementation activities.
• Work closely with development and data engineering teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and delivered.
• Investigate data and performance-related issues and support resolution.
• Manage stakeholders across business, investment and technology functions.

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Strong commercial experience as a Senior Business Analyst within financial services.
• Aladdin experience is a very nice to have
• Proven experience in performance measurement / investment performance.
• Good understanding of indices, benchmarks and benchmark constituents.
• Strong SQL skills are essential.
• Experience working with performance calculation or measurement systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in complex, data-driven environments.

Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:

• Experience within asset management / investment management.
• Knowledge or experience of Aladdin.
• Experience with performance data sourced from platforms such as Morningstar and/or FactSet.
• Understanding of investment data, market data and portfolio analytics.
• Experience working on performance system implementations or transformation projects.
