Technical Writer | Laurel, MD, United States | On-site

The Role

  • Create, update, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including manuals and operational procedures.
  • Develop and maintain Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to support project management and compliance.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and subject matter experts to gather and organize technical information.
  • Ensure all documentation adheres to organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Review and edit existing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain records of revisions and documentation repositories for accessibility.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in a technology-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard writing styles or government-specific guidelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear and concise documentation.
  • Experience developing and maintaining POA&Ms or similar project plans.
  • Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
