Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer (Electrical / Lab) | Valencia, CA (Travel to San Diego)


Compensation Approx. $64/hour + potential extension

We are seeking a Temporary Quality Engineer with a strong electrical engineering and failure analysis background to support lab-based investigations for complex electro-mechanical products. This onsite role begins in Valencia, CA, and requires travel to San Diego (4-5 days/week for several months; travel reimbursed). This is a great opportunity for candidates with medical device, RF systems, or electronics testing experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead failure analysis investigations for returned and non-returned products


• Develop and validate test methods, SOPs, and work instructions


• Review technical reports for accuracy, compliance, and completeness


• Analyze product performance trends and identify root causes using data tools


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Suppliers)


• Train and mentor lab technicians on troubleshooting and testing processes


• Support RF communication and electro-mechanical system analysis

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required)


• 4+ years of experience in electronics troubleshooting and failure analysis


• Knowledge of RF communication systems and lab equipment


• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills


• Experience in medical devices or regulated environments preferred
