Engineering Project Manager

Projects Engineer<br />Monday - Friday Days<br />£60,000 + benefits Manchester Key Responsibilities<br />* Lead engineering and capital projects from concept and specification through to installation, commissioning and handover.<br />* Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines and delivery plans.<br />* Work with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and develop practical engineering solutions.<br />* Manage contractors, suppliers and engineering partners throughout project delivery.<br />* Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within agreed budgets.<br />* Produce and maintain project documentation, risk assessments, technical specifications and progress reports.<br />* Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery, production equipment and site infrastructure.<br />* Identify opportunities to improve OEE, productivity, yield, energy efficiency and equipment reliability.<br />* Ensure engineering projects comply with relevant food safety, hygiene, health &amp; safety and legislative requirements.<br />* Coordinate planned shutdowns and minimise disruption to production.<br />* Monitor project performance, resolve issues and provide regular updates to management.<br />* Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.<br />Qualifications:<br />* Minimum NVQ level 3 in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent experience.<br />* Proven experience in a projects role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.<br />* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
