Data Engineer

We're looking for a Data Engineer to help build and support scalable enterprise data pipelines and transformations in a modern cloud environment. This hybrid role in Boston offers the chance to work on impactful data solutions using tools like Python, SQL, dbt, Snowflake, and AWS Airflow.
Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and transformation workflows that support enterprise data needs
• Build efficient ETL and data integration solutions for large-scale data processing
• Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data products
• Support data platform performance, stability, and high availability through monitoring and troubleshooting
• Apply data governance, security, and compliance best practices across solutions
• Contribute to cloud-based data initiatives and modern data engineering practices
• Use orchestration and automation tools to streamline data operations and improve workflow efficiency
• Stay current with emerging trends and help identify opportunities for innovation in the data ecosystem

Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL
• Background in data engineering, data platforms, or a related field
• Experience building and supporting data pipelines, ETL processes, and data modeling solutions
• Knowledge of Snowflake and cloud data environments
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as AWS Airflow
• Ability to collaborate effectively in an Agile environment
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Clear communication and a collaborative mindset

Preferred Skills

• Experience with dbt
• Exposure to AI in data environments
• Familiarity with additional cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with big data technologies like Spark, Kafka, or Hadoop
• Knowledge of streaming or real-time data processing
• Understanding of DevOps practices as they apply to data engineering
• Certification in a cloud data platform or related specialty
