Job Description

Title: HR Generalist

Location: Los Gatos (Hybrid)

Major Entertainment Company

 

Supported Team: Engineering

 

Role Overview The Employee Services team optimizes HR operations to enhance the employee experience and support global scaling. By managing operational support, we enable our Talent partners to focus on strategic initiatives and core business deliverables.

 

Responsibilities

HR Service Delivery: Manage complex/escalated HR inquiries (e.g., benefits, payroll, leaves, stock options) and support key employee lifecycle events, including onboarding, exits, and international transfers.

Process Optimization & Documentation: Design, build, and stabilize HR process frameworks. Create and maintain work instructions, job aids, and playbooks to support efficient service delivery and Tier 2 documentation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Global Talent Operations Centers (GTOC) and internal teams (e.g., Payroll, Benefits, Mobility, Talent Acquisition) to standardize services, improve knowledge management, and align on ways of working.

Project Management & Compliance: Lead or participate in theme-based projects and ensure adherence to varying regional compliance requirements.

Data-Driven Improvement: Analyze data and metrics to evaluate existing processes,generate actionable insights, and drive continuous improvement efforts.

 

Qualifications:

3-4+ years in HR Ops or similar with a strong grasp of employment and labor laws.

Data-driven mindset with analytical skills to translate data into impactful insights and recommendations.

Proven track record in project management, Agile methodologies, and implementing scalable process improvements.

Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills for aligning with partner teams in fast-paced environments.

Skilled in simplifying complex concepts and educating others on new or enhanced services.

Proficient in creating user-friendly work instructions, job aids, and maintaining detailed documentation.

Ability to solve complex problems and apply processes effectively to unique scenarios.

Bachelor''s degree in HR, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Relevant HR certifications are a plus.
