Job Description


Job Title: Engineering - Bio Process Associate - 2nd Shift


Location: Devens, MA


Duration: Contract - 6 months


Pay Range: $30/hr $37/hr (W2). Shift differential included.


Work Arrangement: 100% onsite required


Work Schedule: 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM, 223 rotating schedule. Rotation: 2 days on (Tue, Wed), 2 days off (Thu, Fri), 3 days on (Sat-Mon), 2 days off (Tue, Wed), 2 days on (Thu, Fri). Must be flexible to work on holidays.

Job Description


The Bio Process Associate supports commercial manufacturing of therapeutic proteins in a cGMP environment. The role executes electronic work instructions and production records, operates and maintains process equipment, and upholds cleanroom and safety standards.


Responsibilities:



  • Perform routine manufacturing activities per approved procedures and recognize deviations from expected practice.

  • Adhere to cGMPs, SOPs, and safety policies while maintaining cleanroom compliance.

  • Weigh and verify raw materials. Assemble, clean, and sterilize process equipment. Monitor and document processes in electronic systems.

  • Train to operate primary production equipment such as bioreactors, chromatography skids, and media or buffer preparation systems.

  • Train on process automation systems including DeltaV, Syncade interactions, and PI Vision, and supporting business systems such as SAP, Infinity, and Maximo.

  • Assist with drafting and revising SOPs and electronic work instructions.

  • Support inventory control for materials and components.

  • Collaborate with Quality for in-process sampling and investigations, and with Materials Management and Maintenance for supplies and equipment needs.

  • Maintain productive communication with supervisors for assignments and coaching.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • High school diploma.

  • Proficiency with MS Office and common web-based applications.

  • Strong attention to detail, accountability, and ability to follow SOPs and cGMP requirements.

  • Effective teamwork and interpersonal communication skills.


Preferred Skills:



  • Exposure to process automation systems such as DeltaV, Syncade interactions, and PI Vision.

  • Familiarity with SAP, Infinity, and Maximo.

  • Experience with bioreactors, chromatography, and solution preparation equipment.
