Job Description
Our benefits administrator is the internal liaison among the employee, provider, and insurance carrier to resolve benefits-related issues, ensure positive employee relations, and work towards effective utilization of programs. He or she will ensure accuracy, compliance, comprehension, problem resolution, and timely updates to benefits for all eligible or inactive employees. He or she will reconcile billing for group benefit plans, resolves discrepancies, prepares correspondence and reports, and works closely with payroll, fiscal, and benefits broker.
Additional responsibilities include keeping up to date on regulations related to benefits, execution of annual open enrollment process, consistent pursuit of professional development, ensuring benefit plan filings as required by law, and serving as back-up to the human resources generalist.
Qualified applicants will hold a high school diploma or GED; possess a total of three years of experience related to benefits administration, human resources, finance, or similar office work required. A maximum of two years of experience may be substituted with equivalent education or certifications. Prior experience in a benefits role with an Applicable Large Employer (ALE) preferred.
Competitive benefits package starts first of the month following 30 calendar days and includes 90% employer-paid PPO healthcare with prescription and vision components, defined benefit pension plan, defined contribution plan, short-term disability, and 14 paid holidays.
