The Role

• Operate heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring accurate and safe handling.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections for safety and functionality.
• Maintain effective communication with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks.
• Uphold a safe work environment by adhering to all established protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is mandatory for consideration.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing.
• Open availability for shifts, including 2nd shift (4:00 PM-12:00 AM), day shift (8:00 AM-4:00 PM), weekends, and holidays.
• Strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail.
• Basic communication skills and the capacity to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
