Benefits Integration Specialist
Remote (EST hours)
Pay: $60,000-80,000
Position Overview
We are seeking a Benefits Integration Analyst to support a large-scale benefits systems transformation while maintaining critical day-to-day operations. This role will focus on benefits integrations, data management, file processing, testing, troubleshooting, and system enhancements across a complex benefits ecosystem.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with excellent organizational abilities and thrives in both operational and project-based environments. This individual will work closely with stakeholders across HR, Benefits, IT, vendors, and implementation teams to ensure accurate data movement and successful integration delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support benefits administration integrations and ongoing operational processes.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to benefits data files and system integrations.
- Review file specifications and translate business requirements into technical solutions and configuration changes.
- Coordinate and support benefits-related data transformation, file enhancements, and testing activities.
- Perform quality reviews of inbound and outbound benefit files to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Create, execute, and document test plans for integration changes and enhancements.
- Run reports and validate data against test files and expected results.
- Monitor integration performance and investigate file transmission or processing issues.
- Support data configuration activities within benefits and HR systems.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to implement changes and enhancements.
- Participate in project meetings and communicate updates, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Assist with large-scale benefits transition activities while supporting ongoing business operations.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience supporting HR, Benefits, Payroll, or related system integrations.
- Experience with at least one of the following:
- Workday
- SAP
- Willis Towers Watson (WTW)
- Experience reviewing and interpreting file specifications, layouts, and data mapping documents.
- Experience testing integrations, validating results, and troubleshooting issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working in a cross-functional project environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting benefits administration platforms and vendor integrations.
- Knowledge of medical, dental, vision, retirement, or other employee benefit data exchanges.
- Experience working with eligibility files, enrollment files, and benefits data feeds.
- Familiarity with data transformation and integration processes.
- Experience with reporting, data validation, and reconciliation activities.
- Knowledge of HRIS and benefits administration workflows.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has a blend of benefits administration and technical integration experience. They are comfortable reviewing file specifications, troubleshooting data issues, performing testing, and communicating effectively with both technical and business stakeholders. Candidates with Workday, SAP, or WTW experience who can work independently and contribute within a project-driven environment will be especially successful in this role.
