About the Role
A growing AI company serving manufacturers is looking for a Head of Operations / COO to work closely with its founders and lead day-to-day business operations. You will oversee customer delivery and the supplier and freight network, while building the systems that help a lean team scale.
What You'll Do
Own customer onboarding, order execution, supplier and carrier coordination, and issue resolution.
Build processes, metrics, and playbooks that enable the team to serve more manufacturers.
Partner with engineering to identify operational workflows for AI automation.
Manage supplier and freight operations, vendor relationships, and service quality.
Hire and lead the operations team as the business grows.
Work with the founders on planning, finance, and company priorities.
What We're Looking For
Six to ten years of experience, including senior operations leadership as a Head of Operations, COO, VP, Director, or in a similar role.
Hands-on experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
Experience at an early-stage startup or on a small team, with a willingness to build processes from the ground up.
Strong numerical, systems, and process-design skills.
Experience in consumer goods, food, supplements, cosmetics, chemicals, freight brokerage, or third-party logistics is helpful.
Location
On-site in San Francisco, California, five days per week. Candidates willing to relocate within the United States may be considered.
