Oberarzt (m/w/d) Gastroenterology | Kiel, Germany | On-site

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated specialist to join a leading national network of hospitals renowned for its commitment to innovation and advanced medical care. This esteemed institution serves as a crucial hub for specialized care in Schleswig-Holstein, fostering a culture of medical excellence and patient-centered treatment.

The Role

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for patients across the full spectrum of gastroenterology and internal medicine.
  • Independently perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy and colonoscopy, with involvement in ERCP and endosonography.
  • Share responsibility for ward management, conduct rounds, manage patient treatment plans, and collaborate across disciplines.
  • Supervise and mentor junior physicians, actively contributing to the training and development of medical staff.
  • Engage in close interdisciplinary collaboration with surgical, radiological, and other specialist departments.
  • Participate in the strategic development of medical concepts, clinical pathways, and quality standards, while also contributing to on-call duties.

What You'll Need

  • Specialist physician qualification in Internal Medicine; additional specializations in Gastroenterology or Diabetology are beneficial.
  • Profound experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, with foundational knowledge or a willingness to train in endosonography and ERCP.
  • Proficiency in using clinical information systems (KIS) for documentation, care management, and coding.
  • A structured, independent, and responsible approach with strong decision-making and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent teamwork, cooperation, and communication skills within interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary settings.
  • A keen interest in the conceptual development of medical processes, quality assurance, and medical education.
