We are looking for an experiencedย Senior Power BI Developerย to design, develop, and maintain advanced business intelligence solutions that transform complex data into meaningful insights. The role requires strong hands-on expertise inย Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and M language, with a focus on building high-quality reports, dashboards, data models, and analytical solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical thinking, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to translate business requirements into intuitive and performance-optimised BI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain advancedย Power BI reports and interactive dashboards.
- Translate business and reporting requirements into effective BI solutions.
- Develop robust and scalable Power BI data models for analytical reporting.
- Create complexย DAX measures, calculated columns, and calculationsย to support business requirements.
- Work extensively withย filter context and row contextย in DAX.
- Use variables, iterators, and advanced DAX techniques to build sophisticated analytical solutions.
- Developย time-intelligence calculationsย for trend, period-over-period, and comparative analysis.
- Implement and maintainย calculation groupsย where required.
- Optimise DAX expressions and Power BI models for improved report performance.
- Useย Power Query and M languageย for data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and preparation.
- Identify and resolve performance issues across reports, data models, and DAX calculations.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, usability, and reliability of BI reports and dashboards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand analytical needs and refine reporting solutions.
- Maintain and enhance existing Power BI dashboards and reporting environments.
- Follow best practices for Power BI development, data modelling, DAX, visualisation, and report performance.
- Document BI solutions, data models, calculations, and reporting processes as required.
