Pay Rate: £22.00 - £25.00 per hour DOE
The OpportunityWe are recruiting on behalf of a well-established contractor operating within the healthcare sector for an experienced Electrical Maintenance & Installation Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy project team supporting electrical installation, maintenance, inspection, and testing works across healthcare facilities in Telford and Wolverhampton.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance, installation works, fault finding, and inspection/testing activities, ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with current regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance.
- Undertake electrical installation works on healthcare and commercial facilities.
- Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
- Conduct inspection and testing of electrical systems and installations.
- Complete all associated certification and compliance documentation.
- Ensure compliance with BS7671 Wiring Regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.
- Liaise effectively with site managers, clients, and other trades on site.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation.
- City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Previous experience in electrical installation and maintenance environments.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent).
- Previous experience working within healthcare, NHS, or highly regulated environments.
- ECS/CSCS card.
- Reliable and professional approach.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of electrical compliance and safety standards.
- Ability to work across multiple sites as required.
- Flexible and proactive attitude.
